In addition, he has been certified by the American Home Inspectors Training Institute (AHIT®) and has successfully passed the National Home Inspector Examination®, which is recognized and required for licensing by the 17 states currently requiring licensing (including New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island; Maine currently has no licensing requirements).

Since 1984, Phil has been privately and professionally renovating homes.  His most extensive renovation was a colonial home built in 1762.  Click here for more information about that renovation project.

Phil and his wife, Ann, are currently renovating their 100+ year old home on the shores of Long Lake in Harrison, Maine.  They hope to restore it to it's former entity as a Bed & Breakfast (it was really a boarding house, but a B&B sounds better!).
